I create tales under the pen name Beck Lewis. Growing up, there wasn't much representation of people like me in books, on TV, or in the movies.

Thankfully, we are seeing much more representation today. I've recently found some excellent Boy Love stories (or BLs as they are known) mostly out of Asia (my favorite being Thai BLs), that depict guys discovering love for each other. It has been so enriching to see these dramas being played out on screen. I can connect to those feelings and I am so grateful that a new generation can experience them as well.

I want readers who may be questioning themselves, feeling different, or searching for where they belong to see characters who remind them they are not alone.

My first series IT'S ALL GOOD UNTIL, is a cozy queer romance of two best friends navigating the world of sexual and gender identity.

A Little Heart-to-Heart About Writing, Representation, and Keeping It Real 💙

I wanted to take a brief moment away from the enjoyment of writing to talk with you all. If you’ve been hanging out on this channel (and my social media), you probably already know how deeply passionate I am about the stories I create. But I realized I haven’t really sat down and shared why this means so much to me.

Why These Stories Matter So Much To Me

I focus on Male-Male stories centered around discovery, acceptance, realizing it’s completely OK to be different, and wrapping everything in heavy doses of positive reinforcement.

Growing up, I didn't have this kind of representation. Back then, finding characters who reflected who I was—or who could help me make sense of my own world—felt like searching for a needle in a haystack. Representation isn't just a buzzword; it’s a lifeline. Seeing yourself reflected in books, movies, or on TV tells you one vital truth: you belong here, and you are not alone.

That’s the exact heartbeat behind every single story I write. If my words can help even one person feel seen, accepted, and proud of their uniqueness, then every late night staring at a blank screen is worth its weight in gold.

The Reality of Being an Independent Creator (TRANSLATION: I'm Broke!)

Being an independent creator is an incredible journey of freedom, but let’s be completely honest—it’s also a hustle. "Independent" is often just another friendly word for broke! I don’t have a massive publishing house backing me up with a huge marketing budget or a team of professional designers. It’s just me, my coffee mug, and my imagination, building these worlds from scratch.

Because I'm flying solo, every piece of the puzzle—from the first clumsy draft to the final published page—comes directly from my own heart and hands

Clearing the Air about AI

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the conversation surrounding AI in the creative community. I know a lot of readers and creators are rightly cautious, and many people won't even look at or consider a book if they suspect AI is involved.

So, let me be 100% crystal clear where I stand:

The Writing: I am totally against having AI write an entire book and passing it off as one's own. Every single word, sentence, plot twist, and emotional breakthrough in my stories is crafted by me. Writing is my joy, my therapy, and my hobby. I would never rob myself (or you!) of the human heart that goes into my storytelling.
The Book Covers: I also don't use AI to magically generate my final book covers. I actually genuinely love the creative process! I deeply enjoy playing around with photo editing apps like Photoshop to build the covers for my stories myself.

That said, I want to be completely transparent: sometimes, I do use AI-generated examples just to get a spark of inspiration for a mood or a vibe. And occasionally, when I have a very specific vision in my head that I just can't track down or photograph on my own, I use tools to help manifest that exact piece of the puzzle. But the final design, the layout, the artistic choices, and the execution? That is all me, built with my own hands and my own love for the craft.

Creating these stories, tweaking my book covers until my eyes cross, and sharing this space with you brings me so much joy. Navigating the indie author world can be tough, but knowing there’s a community of kind, open-minded people on the other side of the screen makes all the difference.

A very fun and sweet read. It’s a nice change from the usual Gay love story where everyone just wants to jump into bed!

This is a nice story about new feelings, learning about one’s self and the other state of being other than straight or gay.

can’t wait for the next novella!

It’s all good is simply a beautiful coming of age story for and about young innocence. Really quite refreshing when so many M/M stories are so much gratuitous sex scene after sex scene that the story line is lost. That is not the case here. This is a really enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more.
