Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are

Coming out is a deeply personal journey, and when or if you decide to do so is completely up to you. It’s about your comfort and your timing. A great example of this is the friendship between my characters, Tay and Third. Their bond is strong and trusting, so they can be open with each other about their thoughts and feelings. But even they had moments where tough conversations and difficult questions came up as they navigated their own emotions. Through these honest talks, they learned more about themselves and each other. What they both understood was the importance of sharing their truth when they felt ready—on their own terms. It’s a reminder that there should never be any pressure to meet anyone else’s expectations. Take your time and only share what feels right for you.
